Penn State has landed a transfer portal commitment. The Nittany Lions earned a pledge from former Mississippi State cornerback Audavion Collins. He took an official visit to see the Lions starting on Monday and picked the program Tuesday.

Collins spent just one season with the Bulldogs. He did not see the field. The 6-foot, 165-pound Covington, Ga., native and former three-star recruit signed with the SEC program in the Class of 2022. He went into the transfer portal in April. The Lions offered him in May, along with Western Kentucky and Akron.

Penn State thought it was set in its cornerbacks room when it landed Storm Duck out of the transfer portal earlier this year. However, the former second-team All-ACC pick left the Lions after spring practice. He then transferred to Louisville. It left cornerbacks coach Terry Smith seeking another body to add to a room that is led by Kalen King and Johnny Dixon and also includes Cam Miller, Daequan Hardy, and a trio of freshmen. Collins now joins them.

Collins has four seasons of eligibility remaining. He is expected to arrive in State College soon. Penn State begins preseason camp in August.
