Penn State tweets of the day
We start with recruiting. Philadelphia, Pa., Roman Catholic four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark is back on the market. Multiple media reports say he has decommitted from Oregon. He picked the Ducks back in November but showed up at Penn State for an official visit this weekend. The Nittany Lions are now the favorite to land the second commitment of his recruiting process, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
“I think Penn State is doing a tremendous job recruiting him,” Roman Catholic coach Rick Prete told BWI in October. “There’s plenty of proof that you can come out of Penn State at that position, so I think he’s doing a great job there. Their whole staff is doing a great job.”

Quote of the day
“Penn State’s walk-on program is great. You’ve got guys like Carl Nassib, who went from walk-on to All-American. Just having the capability to bet on yourself and take that leap, it’s something that Penn State prioritizes. We get treated the same way as the scholarship players. So if you’re thinking of doing something like that, you’ve just got to go with it.”
“I feel appreciated as a walk-on here and I feel like if they need me they’re going to call on me It’s a great thing for the program. Kids who are considering this option, which is not for everybody, you see a couple walk-ons playing in games their freshman year. They see that and think it could be them. We’re able to build on that as a walk-on program and it’s good for everyone.”
