Penn State football held their annual Pro Day at Holuba Hall on Thursday, and Blue White Illustrated covered the event from start to finish. Senior Editor Nate Bauer and film analyst Thomas Frank Carr discuss the event’s highlights and report some intriguing information gleaned from the former players.

This video was filmed before Penn State released the official numbers for most of the on-field testing.

Penn State’s top prospects perform well

They start with the show’s stars by discussing the stars of the day, wide receiver Jahan Dotson, defensive end Arnold Ebiketie, and linebacker Brandon Smith. Dotson did not run a 40-yard dash but did on-field drills, assisted by quarterback Sean Clifford.

Next, they quickly discuss Ebiketie’s impressive day before moving on to an underrated part of the event, which was special teams gunner Drew Hartlaub. Hartlaub ran an unofficial 4.24 40-yard dash and performed well in the other testing drills.

Brisker rebounds from combine mishap to post quality numbers

After that, they recap Jaquan Brisker‘s testing numbers, which included a 38.5-inch vertical jump and a 4.40 unofficial 40. Brisker also mentioned that NFL teams have been asking him if he can play all six defensive back positions, including corner.

Bauer also got an interesting nugget about the 2022 Penn State Nittany Lions from cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields. The former starter shed some light onto a mystery player who he says is playing cornerback for Penn State this year.

From there, they discuss a surprising development for the day, which was tackle Rasheed Walker‘s lack of participation during Penn State’s Pro Day. The redshirt junior lineman left Penn State with remaining eligibility but has not done any on-field testing for teams at either the NFL Combine or Thursday’s Pro Day. So did Walker make a mistake by declaring for the draft? Bauer and T-Frank give their thoughts.

Finally, they discuss one final player who had a good day for the Nittany Lions in guar Eric Wilson. Bauer and T-Frank review his testing numbers and their meaning for the one-year starter at Penn State.
