Penn State RB Nick Singleton, Gatorade partner with downtown ad
Penn State running back Nick Singleton is going larger than life ahead of a key stretch of games for the Nittany Lions. Rolled out on Tuesday morning in downtown State College, the versatile offensive weapon is featured in a new advertisement with Gatorade.
And, Gatorade is going big with it, covering a prominent corner of a building for the promotion. Located on the corner of West College Ave. and North Atherton Street, the advertisement covers The Metropolitan apartment building in downtown State College. (Residents of the apartments can see through the advertisement.)
The advertisement arrives in conjunction with a new Gatorade, Penn State promotion ahead of the Nittany Lions’ 2024 White Out game. Tied into the annual showcase game, in which Penn State is due to take on Washington at Beaver Stadium on Nov. 9, Gatorade is running a “Nittany Frost” White Out sweepstakes.
According to Gatorade, 1,000 sweepstakes entrants will be awarded a Gatorade limited-edition 28 oz. bottle if chosen.
Nick Singleton shines in junior campaign
Through the Nittany Lions’ first six games of the 2024 campaign, Singleton has been a crucial element to the team’s 6-0 start and climb to No. 3 in the national rankings. With 63 carries over five games, having missed the UCLA game on Oct. 5 due to unspecified “bumps and bruises,” he has run for 434 yards and three touchdowns, with a 6.9 yards per carry average, which is good for ninth nationally.
Returning from the injury setback sustained during the Nittany Lions’ 21-7 win over Illinois on Sept. 28, Singleton returned to participate in a season-high 43 snaps in Penn State’s 33-30 overtime win at USC.

Along with his rushing numbers, Singleton has also been a boon to the Nittany Lions’ passing game. Most prominently cashing in Penn State’s game-tying touchdown as a pass-catcher late in the fourth quarter at Southern Cal on Oct. 12, the reception was one of 10 he’s had for 113 yards and another three touchdowns this season.
Determined to produce more explosive plays this season, Penn State has made Singleton a central piece of its efforts to achieve them. Out of Penn State’s 78 explosive plays this season, Singleton has been responsible for 15 of them on the ground and through the air.
For his efforts this year, Singleton was named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Midseason All-American Team.
