Penn State receiver Trey Wallace added to Inch & Co. Sports roster
Penn State football receiver Trey Wallace is determined to make a big jump for the 2023 season. Before doing so, though, the redshirt sophomore Nittany Lion has made a different sort of splash.
Announced on Thursday afternoon via Instagram, Wallace has joined a growing list of Penn State players to be represented by Inch & Co. Sports. Earlier this week, the Nittany Lions had another high-profile player welcomed to the fold in running back Kaytron Allen.
Inch & Co. Sports also boasts signees in Beau Pribula, Johnny Dixon, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Jaylen Reed, KJ Winston, and Tony Rojas.
“Trey is a great addition to the Inch & Co. Sports family,” the group said via emailed statement. “As a player, he has undeniable explosiveness and athleticism, paired with a WR1 type of skill set. He made a lot of big plays in big games for Penn State last year and we foresee him having even more opportunities this fall to have a true breakout year and establish himself as a top WR in his class.”
An offshoot of the York, Pa., based Inch & Co. Construction, the Nittany Lion football program has developed a close relationship with brothers Jeff and John Inch. According to its web site, the agency is both working to “compete in everything” it does as well as provide substantial resources to the athletes it represents.
“Backed by John and Jeff Inch, who started one of the fastest growing real estate & construction companies in the U.S., we can provide exclusive access to a resource that can build sustainable and generational wealth for our athletes.”
Trey Wallace primed for big season
Wallace is determined to become one of those athletes, and is looking for his 2023 campaign to create that opportunity.

Last season, in his first extensive action, Wallace was the fourth option at wideout, finishing with 375 snaps over 13 games. The number represented a big jump from the 19 reps he earned at receiver as a true freshman in 2021. And, it paid off in the form of 19 catches for 273 yards and one touchdown.
Now, receivers coach Marques Hagans is eager to see Wallace convert those initial steps of success into something more for the Nittany Lions this season.
“Trey has grown and just being able to be more consistent with contested catches. His releases have gotten better, routes have gotten better. And he’s really explosive in space,” Hagans said this summer. “So continue to get him to grow. If we can get him to play basketball on grass, I think he’ll be a really good player. But it’s been fun to coach him so far.”
Quarterback Drew Allar agrees with the sentiment. On a podcast earlier this summer, the Nittany Lions’ presumed starting signal-caller picked Wallace as one of the offense’s most underrated, breakout-ready players.
“Tre is going to be a really good player for us this year,” Allar told Adam Breneman on his podcast. “He’s really explosive. His eight steps compared to a lot of different people, he gains a lot more yardage. He’s going to be a great asset for us this year and on the perimeter for us, too.”
