Rounding up Penn State's February offers: QBs, RBs and WRs

Penn State issued three new quarterback offers during the month of February, and also extended scholarship offers to several wideouts and a running back.

BWI rounds them all up, here.

DJ Lagway – 2024 QB

Lagway, out of Willis High School in Texas, is rated as a four-star prospect by On3. Listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, he is one of three QBs to receive an offer from Penn State this month. Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Notre Dame have also offered.

“My head coach told me to give Coach [James] Franklin a call, so I did, and he offered me,” Lagway told BWI. “[I’m] very interested in Penn State. The history is so rich.”

Dylan Raiola – 2024 QB

Out of Chandler High School in Arizona, Raiola is a blue-chip prospect in the Class of 2024, rated by the On3 Consensus as the No. 14 overall recruit and No. 2 quarterback. He holds offers from many of the top programs across the country, including Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Austin Simmons – 2025 QB

A 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback out of Pahokee in Florida, Simmons is the third QB Penn State offered this month, and the third the Nittany Lions have offered in the 2025 cycle so far. Florida State, Purdue, Louisville and Vanderbilt are his other Power 5 offers.

Jeremiah Cobb – 2023 RB

The On3 Consensus lists Cobb as a four-star prospect, the No. 5 running back and the No. 107 overall recruit in 2023. Listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, he holds offers from Auburn, Michigan, Oregon and countless other top programs. Clemson is also interested, but has not offered just yet.

Penn State February offers roundup: O-line, D-line and linebackers

Rico Scott – 2024 WR

Scott is an unranked in-state wideout out of Bishop McDevitt, and has been up to Penn State for an unofficial visit, which he took last fall. He’s listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, and also holds offers from Pitt, Maryland, Virginia Tech and others.

“I’m supposed to be going to a spring practice at Penn State. I don’t know the date yet, but I’m planning to go,” Scott told BWI. “I know West Virginia wants me to come down, as well as Virginia Tech. Also, Pitt invited me there.”

Peter Gonzalez – 2024 WR

An in-state prospect out of Central Catholic in Pittsburgh, Gonzalez is not yet rated by On3 or the On3 Consensus. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, and also holds offers from Maryland and Wisconsin.

Micah Gilbert – 2024 WR

Gilbert is an unrated, 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout out of Charlotte Christian in North Carolina. He visited Happy Valley for Penn State’s game against Michigan this season. Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Maryland and Tennessee are among the schools that have also offered.

Jurrion Dickey – 2023 WR

Dickey is a top-100 prospect according to the On3 Consensus in the 2023 cycle. Listed at 6-foot-2, 207 pounds, Dickey plays his high school football for Valley Christian in California. UCLA, USC, Wisconsin, Oregon and others have also offered.

Eugene Wilson III – 2023 WR

Wilson, a four-star prospect, is the No. 47 overall prospect in the class according to On3 and the No. 216 overall recruit going by the Consensus. He is listed at 5-foot-10, 174 pounds, and plays his high school football at Gaither in Florida. Florida, Georgia, Miami, Alabama and Ole Miss also appear on his list of offers.

Kelton Henderson – 2023 WR

Out of Lehigh Senior High School in Florida, Henderson is the No. 239 overall prospect in the 2023 cycle according to On3, which lists him at 6-foot, 180 pounds. He holds offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU and Alabama and has taken visits to the latter two programs.
