Penn State recruiting: Weekly offers roundup, March 8-14
Penn State Nittany Lions football had an eventful week on the recruiting trail, dishing out 13 scholarship offers.
From blue-chip running backs to young corners, let’s take a look at each prospect the Nittany Lions offered over the last week.
Listed at 6-foot-3, 235 pounds, Holmes plays his high school football at Pahokee in Florida. On3 rates him as a three-star prospect. He’s taken unofficial visits to UCF and Florida State, but the Seminoles have not yet extended a scholarship offer. Indiana, West Virginia, Pitt and Purdue are among the other programs that have.
Offered by Penn State on Monday, Brown is one of the top running back prospects in the 2024 class. The On3 Consensus rates him as the No. 38 overall prospect, the No. 5 running back, and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Washington, where he plays for O’Dea. Brown is listed at 5-foot-10, 191 pounds. Several of the top programs in the country have offered. His only visit as of yet is to USC.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, McLeod is a four-star prospect according to the On3 Consensus, and the No. 190 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle. He attends Camden High School in South Carolina. He’s taken six unofficial visits to South Carolina, and has been on campus at Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and NC State as well.
Penn State football spring positional outlook: Quarterback
White is a 6-foot-3 wideout out of King George in Virginia. A 2024 prospect, he is unranked as of yet. White hasn’t waited to start visiting schools. He’s been on unofficial visits to State College three times. Likewise, he’s been to Virginia Tech and UNC three times, and Virginia and South Carolina twice. Ohio State and Florida State both also earned unofficial visits recently.
Ahfua is one of the true blue-chip offensive line prospects in the 2024 cycle. The On3 Consensus rates him as the No. 9 overall prospect in the nation, the top interior offensive lineman and the top player in the state of Washington. Also playing his high school football at O’Dea, Ahfua is listed at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds. Numerous top programs across the country have offered him, including Alabama and Georgia.
One of several Georgia prospects to earn a Penn State offer recently, Gatling plays his high school football at Milton. Listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, he’s unranked for now, holding offers from Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Texas and more.
Out of Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey, Thomas is listed at 6-foot-6, 267 pounds. Unranked as of yet, his only visit has been to Rutgers. Nebraska, Miami, Kentucky, Pitt and Maryland have also offered, among others.

Gibson is another top running back prospect offered by Penn State in the last week. He currently plays for IMG Academy in Florida and is listed at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. Ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect in 2024 according to the Consensus, Gibson is a former Florida commit. Alabama, Ohio State, Texas and Florida State have also offered.
Listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, Vaughns currently plays at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. He has no ranking as of yet, and Ole Miss, Boston College and Memphis have also offered.
Boykin is an unranked 2024 athlete out of Orange High School in California and is currently committed to Utah. Listed at 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, he plays running back primarily at the high school level but could end up at wideout in college.
Penn State is the first offer for Woodley, a Class of 2025 defensive back out of St Frances Academy in Baltimore. Woodby is listed at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds. He’s the third cornerback Penn State has offered in the 2025 cycle.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 179 pounds, Tease plays his high school football at Booker T. Washington in Oklahoma. He’s the No. 142 overall prospect in the Class of 2023 according to the On3 Consensus. He’s taken nine unofficial visits to this point — six to Oklahoma and three to Notre Dame.
Davison is an unranked Class of 2025 running back out of Mater Dei in California. Listed at 6-foot, 205 pounds, several of the nation’s top programs have already offered, including Georgia, Oregon, Texas and USC.
