Happy Friday, Penn State fans.

The end of the workweek brings with it one final newsstand that is filled with the latest news on the Nittany Lions.

Top tweets and headlines for March 25 include updates from Pro Day plus the latest recruiting intel.

Let’s dive into the updates to know in the PSU universe on March 25.

Penn State tweets of the day

We start with Pro Day.

Fifteen Nittany Lions were on hand in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams. Some of the notable pro personnel in town included Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn; San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch; Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst; and new Pittsburgh Steelers assistant Brian Flores, among others.

Drew Hartlaub stole the show. The Penn State special teams ace and safety clocked a ridiculous 4.22-second 40-yard dash. The run was not laser-timed like they are at the NFL Combine. Even still, his speed is legit and it could very well help him find a spot in the pros as an undrafted free agent.

The other note of note is that offensive tackle Rasheed Walker didn’t work out on Thursday. He walked around and supported his Penn State teammates but never performed any drills. The same thing happened at the NFL Combine. It’s unclear what ails Walke at this point after he showed up to the Outback Bowl with a lower-body injury. But, he certainly isn’t helping his NFL Draft stock.

Next, we move on to recruiting.

Penn State sent out a new offer on Thursday to Class of 2023 edge rusher Daevin Hobbs. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Class of 2023 recruit has not yet visited the Nittany Lions. He has seen North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wake Forest.

In other recruiting news, the Lions also made the cut for Selma, Ala., safety DaKaari Nelson. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound Class of 2023 prospect has Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Penn State, Central Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Florida State in his top-11. Nelson last visited the Lions in November.
