With Easter set for this upcoming Sunday, Penn State will host the majority of its prospects a day earlier than normal this week. Players like running back Stacy Gage, safety Ryan Mack and offensive lineman Jake Guarnera are all among the top names set to be on campus. Now, another of the nation’s top overall players has confirmed he’ll be at Penn State Friday in wide receiver Nick Marsh.

A native of River Rouge, Mich., Marsh has long been considered one of Penn State’s top receiver targets in the Class of 2024. He went on to commit to Michigan State last July, but then decided in March to open up his recruitment again.

In addition to Penn State, Marsh has taken two visits to other schools this spring, going to Auburn on March 25 and then Tennessee last weekend, April 1. Overall, Marsh has earned more than two dozen scholarship offers overall. He also set an official visit to Auburn for June 16-18.

According to the On3 Industry Rating, Marsh ranks in the top 100 nationally at No. 71 overall. He’s the 14th-ranked wide receiver and No. 3 overall in Michigan for the 2024 class. On3 and 247 both give him a 92 overall rating. On3 has him at No. 123 nationally and No. 19 at the wide receiver position.

So far, Penn State is yet to pick up a commitment at the wide receiver position in this year’s class. James Franklin and his staff have offered more than 60 players across the nation. Keylen Adams, Jerrae Hawkins, Jaylan Hornsby and Rico Scott are all high on the staff’s board.

Currently, Penn State has six commitments in its Class of 2024. In recent weeks, both tight end Luke Reynolds and cornerback Jon Mitchell joined the class. Offensive lineman Cooper Cousins committed over a year ago, while cornerback Kenny Woseley and linebackers Anthony Speca and Kari Jackson have all committed since the start of 2023. The Nittany Lions rank No. 15 overall in the On3 Industry Team Rankings.
