Penn State single-game tickets go on sale to the public today; some kick times set to be announced: Newsstand
Penn State news, notes, and updates for May 30 include the start of public single-game ticket sales, a plan for some kick times to be revealed, and more.
It’s time to dive into Thursday’s top tweets and stories about the Nittany Lions and college athletics.
Penn State tweets of the day
We start with a look at why today is another milestone moment on the college football offseason calendar. Reason one is that Penn State single-game tickets go on sale to the public this morning. The sale starts for the entire home slate at 10 a.m. ET on TicketMaster. The athletic department has not yet released pricing information online prior to the start of the ticket-buying process. It will eventually be available on TicketMaster. You can reach that page, where sales will also take place, by clicking here. Single-game parking passes are also up for grabs today. Click here to find information about that buying opportunity.
In other news, milestone marker No. 2 on Thursday is the planned announcement of early season kick times across college football. Conferences like the Big Ten and their television partners are expected to announce kickoff times for special dates (such as Black Friday games, for example) and Weeks 1-3. So, we should learn when the Lions’ opener at West Virginia will start in addition to its Week 2 non-conference tilt with Bowling Green. Head coach James Franklin’s team has its first of two byes in Week 3. So, we might learn just those two time and television assignments today, but FOX revealing more ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ games for later in the year would follow their plan from a year ago. Announcements are expected to take place anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET.
