Penn State star Abdul Carter one of 17 set to attend 2025 NFL Draft

Penn State star Abdul Carter is one of 17 standouts who will attend the 2025 NFL Draft outside of the Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field in Wisconsin. The league announced its list of attendees on Monday night. A Philadelphia native and projected top five pick, the defensive end previously told reporters that he intended to experience his life-changing night in person.
“I always wanted to walk that stage,” Carter said. “It’s been a dream of mine. So just be able to walk that stage, shake the commissioner’s hand, hold up the jersey: That’s been a dream for me.”
Carter has long believed his should be the No. 1 overall pick. It appears the Penn State All-American will accomplish that goal. But, he will still be one of the few players in Lions lore to go in the top five.
“A lot of reasons,” Carter said when asked why he should go No. 1. “Definitely just my overall impact on the game, my versatility. Can play multiple positions, and I feel like, most importantly, I step up when I’. needed the most. When crunch time comes around me, and they need somebody make that big play. I feel like I’m the guy who makes that big play.

“Everything happens for a reason. If I don’t go number one, it wasn’t meant to be. But I’m also going to have that motivation. If they don’t select me, that’s motivation. Can’t wait ’til I see them. But I feel like everything happens for a reason. Wherever I’m meant to be, that’s where I’m going to be.”

Penn State standout Tyler Warren declined a chance to attend
Penn State star tight end Tyler Warren was invited to attend the Draft in person but declined.
“I think having my family around is really important,” Warren said. “And my grandparents can’t travel around as easy. To do it at home, so they can be there, since they weren’t able to come up to any Penn State games, is kind of a big reason I really want to do it at home.”
Warren projects to go in either the back half of the top 10 or somewhere in the top 15. The New York Jets are a popular landing spot for him in mock drafts.
