He was also asked about Penn State guard Vega Ioane, who was listed at 330 pounds on the team’s latest weight updates. Ioane has lost roughly 14 pounds since last season. Losey discussed his progress.

Vega’s, big thing has always been movement efficiency. He is a big, dense individual. He’s always been around 330, 335. So efficiency was a big thing for him this offseason,” Losey said. “Actually wanted to bring him down a little bit more than 325, range. Feel that he moves better at that weight. He’s always going to be big. He’s always going to be strong, be able to push people off the ball.”
Training camp is next up
Penn State officially starts training camp on Jul 30, a month before the team’s opening game against Nevada on Aug 30. The team has a three-game non-conference schedule consisting of the Wolfpack, Florida International on Sept 6, Villanova on Sept 13, before a bye week. The team then hosts one of its most pivotal games of the 2025 season when Oregon flies to Happy Valley for the White Out on Sept 27.
