Penn State tweets of the day

We start with Caedan Wallace. He is going to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl. The 99th installment of the all-star contest will be played on Feb. 1. Penn State center Hunter Nourzad is also taking part in the contest. Wallace will play with the Lions in the Peach Bowl but then is moving on to the NFL Draft. He announced that decision back over the weekend.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to Coach Franklin, Coach Trautwein and the entire support staff who have been by my side throughout this journey,” Wallace wrote on Twitter. “Your guidance and support have been instrumental in my growth as both an athlete and an individual.

“After much consideration, I have made the decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft following our upcoming competition in the 2023 Peach Bowl. This decision comes with a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I leave behind the memories of Happy Valley, the 107,000 passionate fans and the unique spirit that defines this community.

“To everyone that has been a part of my college journey, thank you for making these five years truly special. To my village, my friends and family, thank you for the constant love and support. On to the next chapter!”

Quote of the day

“I think I did good. This is a good stepping stone to take it to another level, to be where I want to be. I need to make more plays. Be more disruptive. I gotta go back and look at the film and the techniques, look at the footwork, hand placement, and little stuff to try to fine-tune it.”
