Penn State news, notes, and updates for April 13 include where former Lions running back Keyvone Lee will visit this weekend, plus Dallion Johnson’s next college basketball home, a Georgia football commit visiting State College Thursday, and more.

It’s time to dive into Thursday’s top tweets and headlines about the Nittany Lions and college athletics.

Penn State tweets of the day

We start with one-time Nittany Lion Keyvone Lee. The former four-star recruit, who was injured for much of the 2022 season, entered the transfer portal back in January. If he visited anywhere since now and then, he has not made those trips public. However, we now know that he will visit an SEC school this weekend. Lee will be at the Mississippi State spring game Saturday, according to his Twitter feed.

During his time at Penn State, Lee rushed for 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

In other news, former Penn State men’s basketball guard Dallion Johnson has picked his next college home. He’s headed to Florida Gulf Coast to play for Patrick Chambers, who recruited him to the Nittany Lions. Johnson never played for Chambers, though, as he resigned before Johnson’s first game. That will all change now though, of course.

Finally, for this section, Penn State will host Georiga Class of 2025 commit and Philadelphia, Pa., Imhotep Charter running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman on Thursday.

Quote of the day

“Those guys had huge years. So what you’re trying to do is do everything you possibly can that they can take a step from year one. And you’d love it to be as pronounced as maybe a guy that redshirted or a guy that played in a complementary role, backup role, and only got a few reps a game. I think everybody would be excited. And those two guys, as productive as they were last year, that they could take a significant step this year. And I think they can.”
