Penn State smacks down Minnesota

Host Thomas Frank Carr, publisher Sean Fitz, and senior editor Nate Bauer sit down to discuss the game and their thoughts about Penn State’s victory. As always, T-Frank wants to know what Fitz and Bauer think now that they’ve had time to digest and reflect upon the game two days later.

Before the full recap, T-Frank wants to ask everyone a question. Do you only care about big games? He’ll explain what he means and then ask the panel and audience for feedback. They’ll also be taking questions throughout the night.

From there, they’ll discuss the Penn State offense and its offensive outburst on Saturday. How do the trio feel about the performance on Saturday, and do they think it’s indicative of things to come? They’ll also discuss the individual players that stood out to them in the win.

Sean Clifford earned a Big Ten player of the week award from the same game that the home fans booed him when he was announced as the starting quarterback. What does the panel think about this dichotomy?

Offensive line a reason to worry?

Finally, the offensive line is banged up, heading into the season’s most crucial game. They’ll discuss the implications of the team’s injury rash on the right side of the offensive line and how things went on Saturday.

Next, they’ll tackle the defense and how that unit performed in the win. The starting unit only gave up one touchdown right before halftime and then bent for another once the game was out of hand in the fourth quarter. Tune in to hear what the panel thinks about the difference between the game against Michigan and Minnesota.

They’ll highlight the linebackers as well. Starter Curtis Jacobs played a mammoth game for the defense, leading the team with 14 tackles. But his move to the Sam position came with the emergence of Abdul Carter at the Will linebacker.

Can Penn State keep that group together going forward? They’ll discuss that as well.
