Penn State football performed a dominant against Minnesota in the 2022 White Out game. Not only is it a big event for national television, but it’s a big event for Penn State recruiting. So how did everything fare this weekend? Recruiting insiders Sean Fitz and Ryan Snyder are here to give you the lowdown on what happened this weekend in Happy Valley and how prospects feel about the game. The Penn State White Out by the numbers
Each year fans want to know how this year’s White Out game stacks up with previous seasons. So, Snyder put together the numbers of confirmed recruits at the game for this past weekend. It’s one of the deepest lists he’s seen, but where does it rank all-time? Also, was the list full of the elite prospects Penn State was hoping to host? Next, Snyder and Fitz break down the players that attended and some notable absences that didn’t make it to Happy Valley. Finally, they’ll pick out individual players that mattered to the Nittany Lions. They also explain how the operation works and how the famous on-field handshake with Penn State head coach James Franklin goes down for each recruit.
Next, they’ll go class by class to discuss the essential players who made an appearance on Saturday. There are only a few players in the Class of 2023 that are critical to know, and the duo go through each of them, including Kaveion Keys, a high-value linebacker prospect committed to North Carolina and defensive end Joseph Mupoyi.
Class of 2024 reactions
The bulk of the show is dedicated to the Class of 2024, which made up the majority of the players in attendance. Kevin Heywood, Jaylen Harvey, and others made the trip to Happy Valley. Find out who was there and which players seemed to have the most fun at Beaver Stadium.
