The last week of March starts with plenty of Penn State recruiting news.

Head coach Cael Sanderson’s program reeled in a new commitment late Sunday night. On Monday, head coach James Franklin’s team will host plenty of prospects, including a four-star from Tennessee.

Here are the top tweets and headlines about Penn State and college athletics on March 28.

We start with football recruiting.

Murfreesboro, Tenn., four-star receiver Justin Brown will unofficially visit Penn State today. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect will be in State College for the first time as the Nittany Lions again take the field for spring practice.

Brown has offers from all over the country. He will see Tennessee next month along with Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. So, Penn State has the chance to set a high bar as it is his first trip to any school of the year.

According to the On3 Consensus rankings, Brown is the nation’s No. 335 player and the No. 50 receiver in the Class of 2023.

Next, we move on to wrestling recruiting.

Class of 2025 prospect Dalton Perry picked Penn State late Sunday night. The Central Mountain freshman was 41-2 during his first prep season and won a PIAA state title at 126 pounds. MatScouts has him ranked as the No. 9 freshman wrestler and No. 15 overall. Per InterMat, Perry trains at David Taylor’s M2 facility near State College.

We wrap up with bad news on the recruiting front for the Nittany Lions. Four-star edge Neeo Avery decommitted on Sunday. He will still consider Penn State but wants to see other schools on unofficial and official visits before finalizing where he will play in college. Avery had been committed to PSU since New Year’s Eve.
