Penn State wrestling 2024-2025 schedule: Who will the Lions face at the BJC? Full dates announced
The 2024-2025 Penn State wrestling schedule is out. The defending champion Nittany Lions will wrestle seven matches in State College, including two matches at the Bryce Jordan Center, are going to a multi-team event in December and have a neutral site dual meet with a traditionally strong Pennsylvania-based program.
Dual meet schedule includes two BJC matches
As Blue-White Illustrated previously reported, the regular season kicks off when Drexel visits Rec Hall on Sun., Nov. 17. That match is set to start at 1 p.m. ET to statt the dual meet portion of the schedule. One day earlier, the Lions will have six competitors in the NWCA All-Star Classic. The exhibition event starts at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Rec Hall. A week later, the team will send wrestlers to the Army Black Knight Invitational on Nov. 24 at West Point.
Penn State will host Wyoming on Dec. 15 after wrestling Lehigh at the PPL Center in Allentown on Dec. 8. It closes out the 2024 portion of the schedule with a trip to the Collegiate Wrestling Duals in Nashville, Tenn. Head coach Cael Sanderson’s team will battle Binghamton, Little Rock, and Missouri on Sun., Dec. 22. Those matches will be at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. ET, respectively.
The 2025 portion of the schedule starts with the Big Ten opener opposite Michigan State at Rec Hall on Jan. 10. Penn State then travels to Nebraska on Fri., Jan 17 and Rutgers on Fri., Jan. 24. Iowa visits State College on Fri., Jan. 31 for the first of two Penn State dual matches at the BJC. The second happens a week later when Michigan comes to town on Fri., Feb. 7. The regular season concludes with trips to Ohio State and Illinois on Fri., Feb. 14, and Sun., Feb. 16, respectively. A Senior Day match with American ends the dual meet portion of the schedule at Rec Hall on Fri., Feb. 21.
