We start with wrestling.
Cael Sanderson won his ninth national title at Penn State on Saturday in Detroit, Mich. The Nittany Lions had six All-Americans and went five-for-five in the finals. Roman Bravo-Young (133 pounds), Nick Lee (141), Carter Starocci (174), Aaron Brooks (184), and Max Dean (197) all won titles. Heavyweight Greg Kerkvliet, then, finished fourth.
Penn State blasted Michigan in the team race. It racked up 131.5 team points compared to the Wolverines’ 95.
In other news, the Lions hosted multiple prospects over the weekend. One left with an offer.
Penn State became the 14th school to offer Cumming, Ga., South Forsyth offensive lineman Nathan Efobi. He is a four-star prospect in the On3 Consensus, where he is the No. 328 player overall in the Class of 2023. On3’s own rankings are much higher on Efobi; they call him the nation’s No. 85 player.

Besides Efobi, the Lions also hosted 2023 Georgia defender Brice Pollock, Michigan tight end commit Andrew Rappleyea, and IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman Will Norman.

“We’re a team but we’re made up of individuals and we want them to be happy and reach their goals when they come to Penn State. When it works out for them that’s great; it doesn’t most of the time, so when it does, it’s a special thing.
