Penn State will face a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foe in February during the 2023-2024 season. The Nittany Lions will welcome Edinboro to Rec Hall on Sun., Feb. 25. The school’s website says the dual meet will begin at 1 p.m. and it will likely be Senior Day for the home side. The two schools have never met on the mat before. This year, that will change.

Head coach Cael Sanderson’s side has routinely scheduled a non-conference match to be its final one of the regular season. It allows the team to fine-tune any last minute issues before it heads into the postseason.

“You want to make sure your guys are in shape, right … those are one of the things you can control,” Sanderson said, per PennLive, ahead of last year’s Senior Day bout with Clarion.

“So when we have the time and the free time and you have (the next) weekend off, it’s a good time to push them a little bit and give them that little extra pump of conditioning. Everyone’s in the same boat. Everyone’s doing the same thing with their guys.”
