Penn State wrestling show: Previewing the Lions' fifth-ever top-two showdown with Iowa
A new episode of the Penn State wrestling show from Blue-White Illustrated is now live. The No. 1 Nittany Lions are set to take on No. 2 Iowa night on Friday night at the Bryce Jordan Center. That, unsurprisingly, headlines much of this week’s episode. First, though, host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel start the show by recapping the Rutgers match. The Nittany Lions won nine of 10 bouts in a 35-3 win over the Scarlet Knights. It marked their 65th consecutive dual meet victory.
“Obviously, you know, Rutgers has a really good team, and they have a great environment,” Lions coach Cael Sanderson said Monday. “So you got to really wrestle well in there. I think it’s a good experience for guys.”
