Penn State’s defensive line was one of the team’s deepest units in 2024. The group was a big reason the Nittany Lions made a run in the College Football Playoff, buoyed by a glut of experience at both defensive tackle and defensive end. The other side of bringing back veterans like D’Von J-Thomas and Coziah Izzard for one final season meant that the Nittany Lions would inevitably be thinner in 2025.
