Rejoice, Penn State fans! Football is set to finally return to Beaver Stadium.

After last weekend’s 34-12 win over West Virginia, the Nittany Lions have received plenty of national attention in recent days. But if they’re going to continue to rank among the nation’s Top 10 programs, they can’t afford any slipups in the coming weeks, and that begins tomorrow against Bowling Green.

The Nittany Lions are now a 34.5-point favorite, up from the 28.5-point opener from late Saturday night. Despite that, head coach James Franklin made it clear this week that his program has plenty of respect for the Mid-American Conference school, which was projected to finish third in its conference according to a preseason coaches poll.

“I would say, looking at their team in general, they’re a bigger, more physical team than what I anticipated,” Franklin said Monday. “You look at them on film, but then also look at their numbers. They’re a big, physical group.”

Most expect the Nittany Lions to win with ease on Saturday, and if that does prove to be true, there should be plenty of rotation in the second half. If you missed last week’s snap count breakdown, Penn State played 55 players against the Mountaineers, and there’s a good chance that number will be even higher this weekend.
