Penn State football spent a busy day hosting the media on Sunday with 2023 Media Day at Beaver Stadium, followed by open practice later that evening. Blue White Illustrated was there for all of it and gave you a comprehensive rundown of what they saw and heard throughout Sunday afternoon. Penn State news and notes from Media Day

Off the top, Bauer and Fitz will discuss the news that one of Penn State’s defensive linemen will miss the 2023 season with an injury. They break down the impact and ramifications of that player’s injury and outlook at the position. 

Next, they’ll dive into what they saw at open practice. It was a somewhat disjointed affair, with a heavy rainstorm forcing the team inside during the media window Sunday evening. Fitz and Bauer caught several observations you can check out on the website despite the rain. They’ll give some broader context to those thoughts on the show.
