Sunday Film Study: Penn State uses scheme, power to steamroll Illinois

The Penn State offense made it very clear early in the team's 21-7 win over Illinois on Saturday night that they planned to control the game with the run. By the end of the contest, running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen had rushed for a combined 196 yards and two touchdowns. However, an offense that runs the ball 44 times needs diversity in its attack to keep the opponent on its heels. Much like he did last year at Kansas, Penn State offensive coordiantor, Andy Kotelnicki delivered a variety of concepts, tricks, and unique sets to achieve that result.
