WR Dorian Singer – Arizona
- 6-1, 185
- Recruiting class: 2021
- Relationship with Penn State staff: No
Singer might be the best receiver prospect in the transfer portal from a skill standpoint at first glance. The sophomore pass-catcher has some of the softest hands in college football and is money at the catch point. The Penn State-offered receiver came down with 12 of his 24 contested catches (50%) on the year. Singer is a route-running and separation technician who does a great job at the line of scrimmage, beating press coverage with a Davante Adams/Stefon Diggs type of skill. However, he’s not a physically dominant player. He has very good, but not elite speed and a lack of size and strength when he plays physically intimidating corners that can match his agility.
Penn State is breaking in a new quarterback next season, and there wouldn’t be a better security blanket for Drew Allar than the feeling he can throw it up to #5 if he’s in trouble. Singer would be a home-run get, but he’s also going to be coveted by every school looking to reload at receiver.
