It’s decision day for top 100 prospect Liam Andrews. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Brookline, Mass., native who plays at The Dexter School will pick between three schools, including Penn State, to end his recruitment. Will the Lions be the winner in the end?

It’s time to preview Andrews’ announcement, which is set for 11 a.m. ET. Learn everything you need to know before his choice becomes public below.

Tracking Liam Andrews’ recruitment

Penn State offered Andrews way back on Jan. 22, 2022. The Nittany Lions were not the first Power Five program to give the senior-to-be a chance to play for it, however. That honor rests with Virginia, who moved on the lineman in August of 2021. The Cavaliers did not make Andrews’ top eight. Penn State did, though, along with Wisconsin, LSU, Ohio State, Miami, Florida, South Carolina, and Oklahoma.

Who are the contenders?

Only three schools hosted Andrews for an official visit. Penn State did so first during the first weekend of June. Then, Wisconsin hosted him the weekend of June 9. Finally, the lineman saw South Carolina the weekend of June 16. He then waited a month to announce that those three programs are his three finalists ahead of his announcement.

Who leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine?

Powered by an On3 RPM pick from BWI recruiting insider Ryan Snyder, Penn State has a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine percentage leaderboard heading into decision day. It is the odds-on favorite by a significant margin.

What has he said about Penn State?

Speaking to On3’s Chad Simmons ahead of his announcement, Andrews had this to say about the Nittany Lions:

“I love their emphasis on winning the Big 10 and a national championship. They finished 7th last season and I feel like they’re just a couple steps away for making a run for a national championship. I also love their defensive scheme and how it caters to my athletic and aggressive play style. Finally, I have begun to develop a good bond with Coach Barnes and think he is a great man and coach.”
