Penn State tweets of the day
We start with the commitment timeline for a top Class of 2025 Penn State target. Owing Mills, Md., McDonogh cornerback Brandon Finney will make his college choice known next week. He has yet to reveal the day that he will do so but said the news will come via social media. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior-to-be is a four-star who is the nation’s No. 191 player overall, No. 8 athlete, and No. 4 player in his home state, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He took an official visit to Penn State on May 31 and has since seen South Carolina and Ohio State. He goes to Oregon this weekend and then will gather with his family and make a decision.
In a previous interview with BWI, Finney called his Penn State official visit a “10 out of 10.”
“Well, first off, it was a great visit,” he said. “I’ve been there a couple of times this winter and spring. A big part of my expectations was seeing how the players interacted with each other. Beforehand I already knew how my relationships were with the coaches, and they’re great. So on the OV, I got to spend some time with the players, spend some time with a couple of the other McDonogh guys and kind of talk to the other recruits and see like why they were considering Penn State. “

Quote of the day
“It’s been going good, honestly. We’re both coming in at the same time, so that’s kind of something we share. I learned some of the defense this week and he showed me different ways that the players have learned visually and how they take notes and stuff. He kind of just walked me through a lot of the defense and how it’s starting to click. It was pretty cool.”
