On3 released its latest player ratings for the Class of 2026 Monday, and there’s no shortage of Penn State recruits who made the cut. In addition to edge rusher Carter Meadows being named a five-star player, there were plenty of intriguing moves, including a few that involved Penn State’s committed players.

Edge rusher Daniel Jennings and wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers both made significant moves upward in the updated rankings. Jennings, who plays at Princeton High School in West Virginia, climbed nearly 70 spots in the update to No. 165 nationally. Rogers, who plays at Appoquinimink in Delaware, also improved by more than 50 spots to No. 180 overall.

“Daniel Jennings rushed for 1,300 yards this year and was very good on defense as well,” said On3 Scouting Director Charles Power. “His athleticism is pretty clear and he fits the type of edge rusher that Penn State has had a lot of success with in recent years. I like him a good bit and I think once he focuses just on playing defense, you’re going to see him take a leap from a technique perspective.

“From a projection standpoint, when you look at the athleticism he shows on offense and his ability to run sideline-to-sideline on defense is impressive. He looks like he’ll be one of the best players we’ve seen from West Virginia in the past few years.”

Running back Messiah Mickens held firm in the 130s, but his Harrisburg teammate, offensive lineman Kevin Brown, did drop to No. 61 nationally. Power explained that the move downward was mainly because of other players deserving of a move upward following strong junior seasons. Brown also missed nearly all of his junior season with a foot injury, limiting the amount of updated information they had to keep him among the Top 30 nationally. Penn State’s quarterback commit, Troy Huhn, also dropped out of the On300. He’s now considered a high three-star prospect.

Of course, there are also plenty of uncommitted players who made significant moves. The top third of the list featured big climbs for both defensive end Luke Wafle (No. 19) and cornerback Khary Adams (No. 30). Adams was already a four-star player, while Wafle climbed all the way from a three-star prospect into potential five-star territory. Pennsylvania native Joey O’Brien also moved up about 30 spots. He’s now firmly inside the top 100 at No. 85 overall.

Further down, edge rusher Tyson Harley and offensive lineman Marlen Bright both joined the list after previously being considered three-star prospects. Harley is now ranked No. 183 overall, while Bright is at No. 226. Linebacker Mathieu Kanu and offensive lineman Grayson McKeogh were both previously unranked before this update. Kanu is now No. 275 overall, while McKeogh is just below him at No. 276.
