Penn State lands another elite speed receiver
After a frustrating summer recruiting period for Penn State wide receiver coach Marques Hagans, the dam broke this week on the position. Keys is the second elite speed receiver to join the program. Like Jahsiear Rogers this past weekend, Keys ran in the 4.3s this summer for the staff during his last visit. Fitz discusses how quickly things came together on both sides of this recruitment.
Next, we discuss the obvious situation of having two smaller-framed recevier in the same class. Rogers is around 5-9 but, despite that, has better size and outside receiver skills than his height would indicate. We discuss those traits and what they mean for his development.

Class of 2026 growing rapidly
Penn State now has the most commitments for the next cycle of any program nationally. Keys is the sixth player to join the program for the 2026 cycle, eclipsing Auburn, Florida State, and USC, who were all tied with the Nittany Lions at five commits.
Additionally, The team sits second in the overall On3 team rankings with four four-star commits. However, today’s video discusses how players like Rogers and Keys may be fast risers during their junior seasons thanks to their impressive testing numbers.
The team is led by Harrisburg running back Messiah Mickens, who committed to the program on Aug. 19 of last year. Since then, he’s been joined by teammate Kevin Brown, a potential five-star offensive lineman. California quarterback Troy Huhn was the second player in the 2026 class and is a top-75 prospect in the On3 Industry rankings.
In the past week, Penn State added Brown, defensive end Daniel Jennings, Rogers, and Keys.
