Penn State QB Drew Allar lights it up during All-America Bowl 7-on-7
The past two days couldn’t have gone much better for future Penn State quarterback Drew Allar.
In case you missed it, Allar earned top performer honors on Tuesday and followed that up with another mentioned Wednesday, as he put together some incredible deep throws during 1-on-1 and 7-on-7. Today’s afternoon practice was also a joint practice between the two teams, giving Allar an opportunity to build a connection with his receivers on the East squad.
“Drew Allar is the best passer of any QB on either team,” said On3 Senior Analyst Gerry Hamilton on Wednesday.

Charles Power also spoke highly of the Penn State signee.
“On3 Consensus five-star Drew Allar was clearly the top passer for the East Team for a second straight day,” said Power. “Blessed with elite arm talent, the Penn State early enrollee rips the ball all around the field effortlessly. He does so with a pretty consistent 90 degree arm angle.
“On air, the ball rarely hits the ground. The arm strength is apparent on square ins, skinny posts and deep outs. In the 7-on-7 setting during the joint practice, Allar ripped a perfectly timed deep out that was dropped by Barion Brown. He came back with a deep ball to Isaiah Bond for a score against attached coverage. Allar has changed ball speeds and trajectories this week with accuracy.”

Allar, who is normally pretty shy and measured when it comes to speaking about his confidence with the media, also admits that he feels good about how he’s performed so far.
“I definitely feel good about how I’ve done the first two days,” Allar told On3’s Jeremy Crabtree. “I’m getting more comfortable in the offense. Obviously, it’s a new offense and it’s a new system I have to learn. But, yeah, I’m getting more comfortable in it. I think everybody else is. So, the timing is getting down from the quarterback-receiver standpoint. And I’m just learning along the way.”
Following the game on Saturday, Allar is actually set to enroll at Penn State the following day. He’s set to room with wide receiver Kaden Saunders.
