Penn State improved to 8-2 on Saturday with a win over Big Ten foe Maryland. The Nittany Lions dominated from start to finish, outgaining the Terps 413 yards to 134.
Rain and wind impacted the game, allowing Penn State to work on its rushing attack. Freshmen Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen led the way, totaling 195 yards rushing altogether. Singleton led the pair with 122 yards on the ground, scoring touchdowns from 45 and 27 yards out in the first half.
Penn State was just as strong defensively, totaling nine tackles for loss and seven sacks against quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. Former Maryland player Chop Robinson had two sacks, while five other Nittany Lions recorded one each.
