Penn State got an up-close look at Aliciene this summer
Penn State hosted Aliciene during the team’s elite White Out mini camp this summer, where he held his own among the team’s best prospects. Here’s what we wrote about him at the time.
Avon Old Farms has another Penn State prospect on the radar for 2025 in tackle Owen Aliciene. While the Nittany Lions didn’t land Avon Old Farms senior Benedict Umeh, they have another shot with Aliciene. The 6-7, 275-pound offensive line prospect is a three-star talent in the early rankings for next season. However, he doesn’t have a ranking by all four recruiting services just yet. Aliciene saw the most reps of any of the young linemen at camp aside from 2025 interior prospect Michael Carroll.
Putting Aliciene into perspective with other commits at his position
Snyder discusses Penn State’s interest in Aliciene and the team’s situation this year with pure tackles in the region. We also discuss how offensive line coach Phil Trautwein’s desire to find those pure tackles instead of swing players like the team has done in the past.

With that in mind, we compare Aliciene to the recent commits from the previous class and the transfer portal. How does he stack up against Garrett Sexton, Eagan Boyer, and Nolan Rucci? Snyder gives his thoughts on how Rucci was a big win for the position, even given theteam’ss successful recruiting prospects from high school.
Lastly, we will show youAliciene’ss highlight film from last season and break down the important aspects of his physical and technical skills.
