Watch: Penn State lands potential five-star tackle Kevin Brown
The Penn State Nittany Lions recruiting team is using the last gasp of summer availability to stockpile talent for the Class of 2026. After securing speedy wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers earlier in the day, the team felled a big tree. Four-star offensive tackle Kevin Brown joined the team well ahead of his commitment dates or summer recruiting. The potential five-star offensive lineman from Harrisburg joins fellow Pennsylvania linamen Cooper Cousins as an early commit to Penn State well before his recruiting cycle matured.
Join recruiting insider Sean Fitz as he discusses the impact of Brown on the upcoming class and the psyche of the Lions recruiting efforts.

Kevin Brown is a big piece of the team’s 2026 recruiting.
Brown joins the program as a big-time recruit that teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and Florida State were after, just to name a few elite schools. Brown it the 37th overall player in the 2026 industry rankings and the third-ranked interior offensive lineman. However, Brown is an elite athlete who will play tackle for Penn State. Fitz goes into the details of how the team secured his commitment and why he’s ending his process so early.

Brown is no stranger to Happy Valley, either. He’s visited other schools, but his 10 trips to Penn State are more than his trips to the rest of his suitors combined.
Penn State hot in 2026
Penn State’s Class of 2026 is taking on the shape of an elite group after the struggles in 2025. The team has already secured two of the top three players in the state for next cycle with Brown (1) and fellow Harrisburg teammate, running back Messiah Mickens. Mickens is the 65th overall player in the next class of recruits. The Pennsylvania contingency got a West Coast flair this summer with four-star quarterback Troy Huhn from Mission Hills in California. The 6-4 passer is the 60th overall player in the On3 industry rankings.
In fact, the only non-top-100 prospect committed to Penn State in 2026 is wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers, who committed to the Nittany Lions hours before Brown. Despite his unranked profile, the Delaware native has an elite speed profile and good size. He should be an early riser now that he’s on the national radar with a Penn State commitment.
