We start with the latest from the practice field. Head coach James Franklin’s team leaves today for Los Angeles. The Nittany Lions will practice at SoFI Stadium, home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, on Friday. During Wednesday’s time on the field, reporters saw running back Nick Singleton, who missed last week’s game, and right tackle Anthony Donkoh, who left the win over UCLA early due to injury. The leader of the Lions was not asked about Singleton’s status for game day but did say he “anticipates” having Donkoh available against the Trojans on Saturday (CBS, 3:30 p.m. ET). He also discussed linebacker Dominic DeLuca’s return from injury. He is playing with a cast on his right hand after suffering an undisclosed injury earlier this year that caused him to miss the Illinois game.
“When you’re in one of those casts it affects you, obviously,” Franklin said. “So, getting comfortable with that, getting used to that. I thought he did a nice job last week, but I expect him to work closer toward, I don’t know if it’ll be exactly the same number of reps, but probably in between what he did last week and what he’s done in the past.
“But he’s shown he was physical on kickoff, was good on defense as well. So I think he has more confidence in playing that way, and I think the coaches have confidence in him being able to get the job done.”

Quote of the day
“He’s done a nice job. I know Deion [Barnes] has been very, very impressed with him, and so is the coaching staff. He’s been a great teammate. He’s taken advantage of the reps that he’s getting, and getting better. I think he’s, in some ways, up to this point, he probably was still working back into play shape. Hadn’t played football in a while, and had a pretty significant injury. So I think he’s got better every single week. So we’ve been very pleased with him.”
