What time, channel, is Penn State-Indiana on in two weeks?
Penn State is focused on its next opponent, Ohio State, to start Week 8 of the college football season. However, the Big Ten Conference forces us to briefly look ahead by releasing Week 9 kick time and television information. The Nittany Lions host the Indiana Hoosiers on Oct. 28. We now know when the contest will begin.
CBS will televise Penn State-Indiana two Saturdays from now. The game will start at Noon inside of Beaver Stadium. The Lions, who are an underdog for the first time all season against the Buckeyes, should be a double-digit favorite for the seventh time this year when they host the Hoosiers. All-time, the Lions hold a 24-2 advantage and are in the midst of a two-game winning streak. IU has never won at Beaver Stadium. It is coming off a 52-7 loss to Michigan.
“We had a good start,” IU coach Tom Allen said during his post-game radio show. “We played well early and halfway through the second quarter. Then we had that (hands-to-the-face) penalty when we had a big pass play with a chance to get more points. That was a big turning point. It never allowed us to recover.
“In the end, it was not good enough.”
Penn State, of course, is fresh off a 63-0 pasting of Massachusetts. It was the program’s final non-conference game of the season. It will face only conference competition from here on out, starting with the Buckeyes and then the Hoosiers, who they beat 45-14 on the road last season at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.

Reviewing Penn State-UMass
Let’s take one final look back at the latest Penn State win. Daequan Hardy had two punt return touchdowns. Quarterback Drew Allar threw three touchdown tosses. And, defensive end Adisa Isaac had 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss.
“When you talk about critical stats, we did not win the turnover battle, which is something we’re leading the country in, so that was obviously one criticism but explosive plays we won,” Penn State coach James Franklin said. Third down battle we won. Sack battle we won. Starting field position, penalty battle we won, so a lot of positives there. Defensively, we were suffocating all night long on one of the most explosive offenses in the country. When you look at explosive play percentage, that’s the most explosive offense that we played this year from a statistical perspective.
“You know, defensively, I thought early on we had to get some things kind of cleaned up but once we did, I thought we played balanced offense again tonight and played complimentary football. And then special teams, obviously the story of the night is Daequan Hardy is the same guy that me and Terry went to watch in the state championship game and earned a Penn State scholarship by how he performed scoring all sorts of different ways, and one way was as a punt returner. So that was awesome for us to have that success tonight and specifically for him. Good win.”
The Lions are off to Columbus, Ohio this week. Penn State-Ohio State starts at Noon ET on FOX.
