What time, channel is Penn State-Michigan wrestling on? Projected lineups, time, and more
Penn State wrestling has its first and only double dual meet weekend of the season this Friday and Sunday. The Nittany Lions kick it off with a Friday night trip to No. 11 Michigan. Then, head coach Cael Sanderson’s team will battle Michigan State on Sunday in East Lansing. It’s rare for the program to have only one of these weekends during the Big Ten portion of the schedule. But, that’s what it’s face with this year, which is good and bad.
“I think it’s unusual,” Sanderson said on Tuesday. “I kind of just think when we get to the Big Ten, it’s always Friday, Sunday, Friday, Sunday, like multiple weekends in a row. We were just talking about that the other day, actually. I mean, we do have a Friday, I think we’re at Iowa, and then we’re back here on Monday with Rutgers. So you know, that’s a trip to the Midwest and back. So that’ll be similar. But yeah, I think the two matches in a row is good for us because it gets your guys ready to make weight multiple days in a row.
“So wherever you’re at, we just got to find the positive in the opportunity or challenge however you look at it. But yeah, we don’t have a lot of these opportunities to wrestle back-to-back. So, we want to make sure, I think it would be good preparation for us and our weight management.”

What are the top bouts to watch?
This match has all the makings of a doozy. Penn State will be favored to win its 49th consecutive dual meet. But, the Wolverines bring a ton of talent to the mat and will not go down without a fight.
“Well, Michigan obviously has a really good team,” Sanderson said. “Up and down their lineup, I don’t know how many All-Americans they have in their lineup, but just a very experienced team, very talented team. So it’ll be a great match. We’re excited for it.”
