What time, TV channel, will Penn State-Maryland be on Nov. 30?
Penn State hosts Maryland next weekend to close out its 2024 regular season. After trekking to Minnesota this weekend for a 3:30 p.m. contest on CBS, the Nittany Lions return to Beaver Stadium on Nov. 30 to take on the Terrapins on Senior Day. What’s the latest on that game’s time and TV assignments?
Big Ten Network will televise the game at 3:30 p.m. ET. A broadcast crew is not yet out.
Penn State holds a 43-3-1 all-time edge over the Terrapins. It is also amid a three-game winning streak dating back to 2021. Head coach Mike Locksley’s team must win out to make a bowl game. It’s two-game stretch run starts with Iowa this week and then concludes with the trip to State College. The team is fresh off a loss to Rutgers.
“We’ve got Iowa coming in here with an opportunity again to keep our season alive,” Locksley said, per PressboxOnline. “We didn’t get it done today, and we’re running out of chances and opportunities, and we’ve got to find a way to get this thing fixed.”
Added junior linebacker Kellen Wyatt to the same outlet:
“I wouldn’t call it disappointing, but I would say that you know our backs are against the ropes now. We need these. We’re taking them week by week. We have one-game seasons, and we’re going to get started for Iowa and do everything we can to win.”

More: What is the Penn State-Minnesota point spread?
Penn State, of course, needs to win out to give itself the best possible chance of making the College Football Playoff. As of Monday, the Lions rank No. 4 in the CFP top 25 with an update due out on Tuesday. Head coach James Franklin’s team does not figure to be the No. 4 seed, of course. That’s because the top four spots go to the highest-ranked conference champions. And, the Lions do not figure to get a chance at playing in the Big Ten title game. However, they still could host a home Playoff game by being seeded Nos. 5-8. That must be the goal at this point.
“So a lot of good things there,” Lions coach James Franklin said after his team’s 49-10 win over Purdue last weekend. “So lot of good things to build on. This will be important tape for us, especially with the young guys. I think I told you guys at the beginning of the week that we needed to find a way to win this game and get better. I thought we did that tonight. We want to continue on that trajectory this week.”
