What time will Penn State-Cental Michigan kickoff? TV info and more
Penn State meets Central Michigan in Week 4. The game has long been scheduled to air on the Big Ten Network. But now, we also know when it will start.
Both teams and the Big Ten Conference announced Monday that the Lions’ final non-conference matchup of the year will begin at Noon. It will air on both BTN and the Penn State Sports Network.
The two sides have only met once. Penn State took the inaugural meeting 40-3 at Beaver Stadium in 2005. On that day, quarterback Michael Robinson threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Lions to a victory.
This year, Penn State is 2-0 ahead of a Week 3 date at Auburn. The Chippewas, meanwhile, are 0-2 after losing to Southern Alabama and Oklahoma State to start the season. They will look to get into the win column for the first time this season this week when they host Bucknell.
“We’ve been pretty good at stopping the run in the past here and it’s no secret it’s about gap integrity and staying where you’re supposed to be,” Central Michigan head coach Jim McElwain said after losing to the Cowboys.
“We’ll keep working. We’ve got 10 games left; disappointing where we’re at right now. We’re going to come back and get better.”

Other Monday Penn State news and notes
What else happened so far on Monday besides the announcement of the CMU kick time?
Penn State opened as a three-point favorite for Saturday’s non-conference matchup with Auburn. Kickoff for that game is set for 3:30 p.m. on CBS from Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Big Ten also announced its weekly honors. Running back Nick Singleton was named the freshman of the week after rushing for 179 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries against the Bobcats.
“He’s got such good speed that, maybe in years past when the read would be cloudy and you’d want to bounce it, we didn’t always have the speed to get to the edge like he does,” head coach James Franklin said. “And he showed the ability to do that. A run that may typically be three or four yards has a chance to be 80 with him.”
We also received a new batch of postseason bowl projections from experts across the country. Here’s where they all have Penn State playing now:
