When is the 2025 Penn State football Blue-White game?
STATE COLLEGE — Penn State football is still amid its 2024 season. But, the program has already set a key date for 2025. The Nittany Lions’ next Blue-White scrimmage will be held on April 26. It is the annual event at Beaver Stadium that ends spring practice. Head coach James Franklin is set to preside over his 12th April scrimmage.
It is not yet clear when the event will start. It’s also unclear how a planned $700 million stadium renovation project, which will start either in late 2024 or early 2025, will impact the plan for the scrimmage. Additional details will be released early next year.
As of this writing, the Nittany Lions lead SMU in the second half of a College Football Playoff first round game. With a win, it will advance to the quarterfinals. The winner of this game meets No. 3 Boise State at the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31 in Phoenix, Ariz.
“It comes down to being able to get pressure and stay in coverage,” Franklin said at halftime of today’s game. “If you can stay in coverage, you have a chance, and obviously, we did that. They’re a good defense. The wind has been an issue. We were able to get the running game going which is the most important thing.”
