Where did Penn State commits land in the latest On3 recruiting rankings release?
Penn State’s Class of 2024 received another update on Monday, with multiple players making positive moves within the updated On300. The Nittany Lions placed 10 commitments from the current cycle inside the Top 300 nationally. The group ranks 14th nationally by the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings.
Leading the way among those moving up is tight end Luke Reynolds, who made the leap from No. 82 overall to No. 38. He’s still outside five-star status with On3, but he’s also now the Nittany Lions’ top-rated commitment by the service and one of four Penn State pledges in the Top 100.
Reynolds is followed by offensive tackle Garrett Sexton at No. 63 overall, which is a slight drop from his previous No. 46. Defensive end Mylachi Williams is now No. 79 overall and cornerback Jon Mitchell is right behind him at No. 82. Mitchell is up from No. 152 overall in the last update.
A few Penn State commits sit just outside the Top 100 in the new updates. Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer is up to No. 107 nationally, while offensive lineman Cooper Cousins is right behind him at No. 109. Athlete Quinton Martin checks in at No. 118 and defensive lineman Liam Andrews dropped from the Top 100 to No. 120 overall.
Safety Vaboue Toure is now at No. 228 overall and DeJuan Lane stayed in the On300 at No. 296 nationally. Wide receiver Josiah Brown fell outside the On300, where he previously slotted at No. 298 overall.

Reynolds’ rise through the rankings has been consistent since he burst onto the scene last winter. The athletic tight end is in the mix for the top player at his position. On3’s Charles Power highlighted Reynolds as a big mover.
“Penn State tight end pledge Luke Reynolds moves up 45 spots, checking in at No. 38 overall. The Westford (Mass.) Cheshire Academy product has a skill set that his highly projectable at the position. Reynolds’ wiggle and movement skills as a route-runner along with his plus athleticism and gritty nature after the catch bode well for his long-term projection. Reynolds is in a three man race at the top for the On3’s No. 1 tight end alongside with Alabama commit Caleb Odom (No. 27) and LSU pledge Trey’Dez Green (No. 35).
Penn State quarterback commit Ethan Grunkemeyer, who will play on the national stage at the Under Armour All-American Game in Florida before enrolling at Penn State in January, just keeps heading up the rankings after a strong senior season.
Penn State commit Ethan Grunkemeyer moves up to 93 rating, checking in at No. 107 overall. He made a considerable jump as a senior at Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy, making good on the promise he showed on the off-season camp circuit. Grunkemeyer finished his senior season completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,517 yards and 39 touchdowns against nine interceptions.
