Where do Penn State's former players rate in Madden 24?
We’re now just 40 days out from Penn State fans returning to Beaver Stadium for the season opener against West Virginia. Not only is the game set to be played in primetime, but the Nittany Lions are also coming off a Rose Bowl victory over Utah last season. With so much talent returning and a former five-star quarterback set to make his full-time debut, there’s no shortage of excitement right now in Happy Valley.
But in addition to the college football season starting up, we’re also now under 50 days until Week 1 of the NFL season. Rookies have already reported for training camp for most teams, with veterans set to start practicing next week.
The end of July also means that one of the country’s most popular video games, Madden 24, is set to be released in a few weeks. To build suspense for that release, which this year is set for Aug. 15, EA Sports announced its player ratings for the game throughout the past week.
It should be no surprise that edge rusher Micah Parsons is Penn State’s top-ranked former player in the game. With a 97 overall rating, only 10 players rate higher than Parsons. He’s the fourth-ranked edge rusher behind only Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett and Nick Bosa.
Running back Saquon Barkley has also earned an elite rating of 93 overall. He’s the fifth-ranked running back in the game behind only Nick Chubb, Christian McCaffrey, Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry.
