STATE COLLEGE — The company that sponsors the field at Beaver Stadium now has its logo on the turf for the first time. Two West Shore Home logos sit between the 20- and 30-yard lines at each end of the Penn State stadium. They face west toward the ongoing construction on that side of the venue. It’s the only company marks visible on Saturday ahead of the Blue-White game. The school’s Board of Trustees approved the $50 million, 15-year agreement earlier this year. Following it, athletic director Pat Kraft said the logos were part of the deal.

“On the field, I would take it like the College Football Playoff marks, at the 20s, it would say West Shore Home fields there,” Kraft said. He added in a statement:

“We are incredibly grateful to B.J., P.J. and West Shore Home for this game-changing gift as their commitment to Penn State Athletics and the institution will have a lasting impact on our student-athletes, fans and community. As an alumnus of our great University and a business owner in Central Pennsylvania, B.J. understands the critical role that Beaver Stadium plays in our community, as well as the importance of preserving the great traditions of Penn State while helping us build a strong future. We are thankful for the Werzyn family and West Shore Home for their generosity and dedication to Penn State.”

Penn State Blue-White game info

It starts at 2 p.m. ET. There will be a pre-game kickoff competition. From there, each quarter will be 11 minutes long. The clock runs except for the final two minutes of each half. Then, traditional timing takes over. The first half will be THUD, which is wrapping up the ball carrier but not taking him to the ground. Second half action will be live. Each team has two timeouts. And, all special teams work is on air.

Is the Blue-White game on TV and radio?

No. Franklin said he insisted it not be due to “the changes that we’re making.” He presumably meant the transfer portal. At any rate, you will likely be able to find some social media clips of the action. However, there will not be a live stream or replay available.

There will be a radio broadcast, however. LionVision is the home of Penn State Athletics’ audio streams. You can click here to access the feed.
