ESPN has put its finishing touches on its ever-evolving list of college football’s top 100 players during the 2024 season. Four Nittany Lions made the final cut. Big Ten tight end of the year Tyler Warren leads the way at No. 6, while unanimous All-American Abdul Carter checks in right behind him at No. 8. Both moved up from the initial rankings, Carter from No. 20 and Warren from being outside of the top 100.
“He not only delivered the best season for a Penn State tight end — and one of the best in CFB history — but expanded the imagination of what can be done at the position,” Adam Rittenberg writes on Warren. “He was the team’s most featured target in the passing game with 104 receptions and 1,233 receiving yards — the most ever by a tight end at Penn State and the Big Ten. He also added 218 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His performance at USC — 17 receptions, 224 yards, one touchdown — won’t soon be forgotten. Warren’s 104 catches more than tripled his total from the 2023 season (34).”
The two other Penn State players on the list are quarterback Drew Allar at No. 63 and running back Nick Singleton at No. 80. Neither was inside of the top 100 at the start of the season. You can see the full list at the link below.

Quote of the day
“Penn State is high on my list because of the coaches. They offered me back in the 9th grade, they have been recruiting me as hard as anyone and they have a great program. The people there make Penn State stand out.
