Will Penn State wear white uniforms in the Big Ten title game? Jersey picks revealed for the Lions, Oregon
No. 3 Penn State meets No. 1 Oregon in Saturday’s Big Ten title game in Indianapolis. The 11-1 Nittany Lions are the designated road team for the contest. The 12-0 Ducks are the home team. Each team has decided which uniform combinations it will wear at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Penn State will wear its traditional road white uniforms. It will surely ask fans making the trip to wear white, as well. Oregon, meanwhile, will suit up in an all-black jersey and pants with a silver number in the middle of each player’s jersey. The Ducks will wear UO green helmets, which is their trademarked shade of green. You can see a picture of the uniforms below. If you cannot see the embedded tweet, click here to see it.
Penn State and Oregon meet for the fourth time in both programs’ history. The Nittany Lions are 3-1 all-time. The two sides have not met since the Rose Bowl that ended the 1994 season. This year, Oregon’s first in the Big Ten, sees the Ducks listed as a 3.5-point favorite. Kickoff is set for 8:17 p.m. ET. CBS will televise the game.
More: Amidst whirlwind, Penn State locks in on massive opportunity
While the Ducks and Nittany Lions have not yet met this season, they have plenty of common opponents. Oregon beat Ohio State, which Penn State lost to. Both sides have beat UCLA, Purdue, Illinois, Maryland, Washington, and Wisconsin in Big Ten play.

“We’ve gotten to see them a decent amount in crossover games,” Lions coach James Franklin said Wednesday night. “You kind of follow what they’re doing, because they’re doing some really nice things on offense, defense and special teams.
“But it really just came down to a normal game week. Probably very similar to what we’ve faced in terms of UCLA and Washington. New opponents that we don’t have a whole lot of familiarity with. At least with them you could do a little bit of summer studies and things like that. But at the end of the day, we got a week to get ready for these guys. We’re maximizing that time and I’ve been pleased so far with how the players and the staff are handling it.”
