Penn State tweets of the day

The college football world is heavily focused on this weekend’s top-five showdown between Penn State and Ohio State. It is not the program’s annual White Out game, of course, because it starts at Noon ET on FOX. Figuring that would be the case, the program elected to pick next weekend’s Washington game to create one of the greatest atmospheres in all of college football. For months, the running theory has been that the game would start either in the late afternoon or evening, meaning that the primetime White Out game effect would be in full force for most of, if not all, of the meetings with the Huskies. So, what time will kick off be? We could find out today.

The Big Ten Conference and its television partners will release Week 10 time and television designations on Monday at 1 p.m. ET. They could choose to put next weekend’s slate of games on the six-day window, which would mean that a start time won’t be locked in until late this Saturday night. However, if the 12-day window is used, we will learn both when the Lions-Huskies meeting will start and also what network it will be on later this afternoon. Matt Sarzyniak, a longtime expert in picking who will play when and where in the sports world, has predicted that the game will be on FOX at 8 p.m. ET. Will he be right? Check back to BWI later today for an update.

Quote of the day

“Things are very early but Penn State, Maryland, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan are programs I have been very impressed by. There are a number of other schools that I am excited to continue to learn more about as well.  At this stage I am really trying to figure out what is most important in a school and program for me. I think this fall we will learn a lot regarding where things stand.”
