Purdue’s 2025 recruiting class took another hit today when Ohio ILB Grant Beerman announced he’s de-committng from the Boilermakers and committing to Illinois.

The uncertainty surrounding the Boilermaker coaching staff caused Beerman unease, as he has forged a strong bond with Purdue DC Kevin Kane. Beerman had taken a trip to Illinois earlier this month and also had Duke making a push for his pledge. The rangy product of Lakota West High in West Chester, Ohio, is headed to Illinois.
