2025 Ohio QB Max Lyall talks Purdue visit
The recruiting process is starting to heat up for Max Lyall.
The 2025 quarterback from Tri-Valley High in Dresden, Ohio–located roughly 65 miles east of Columbus–soaked up the sights and sounds of Purdue on Friday during an unofficial visit.
“I got a chance to look around the facilities and see a walk through,” he said. “It was a good experience. It was fun, a good time.”
What did he think of the staff?
“I like them,” he said. “They’re all super cool. We talked for a little bit. Super nice. Hopefully, I can grow in a relationship with them and get to know them better.”
The 6-3, 205-pound Lyall, who also has visited Yale, is one of three 2025 signal-callers who have visited Purdue recently, joining Findlay, Ohio’s Ryan Montgomery and Dallas’ Sawyer Anderson.

How would Lyall describe his skill-set?
“I’d say I’m a super accurate quarterback,” said Lyall, who is still looking for his first offer. “Not too flashy. I make the right plays, make great reads and just try to do whatever I can to make the team win.”
What’s he need to improve?
“This year, I want to really get better at running the ball,” he said. “Get some yards rushing and improve my deep ball a little bit.”
