Former Boilermaker standout forward Matt Kiefer turns 40 today (April 22, 2023) and shares his big day from his home in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The father of two, who is expecting an addition to his family at the end of the summer, talks about his Purdue career and much more. Kiefer, the first team MVP of the Matt Painter Era, was academic All-Big Ten thrice (2004-06). A native of Evansville, Indiana, Kiefer played for coaches Gene Keady and Matt Painter before having a stint in international professional basketball in Europe. An engineering major at Purdue, Kiefer now works in real estate development with his young family.
