Purdue’s search for a forward in its 2026 recruiting class includes one of the top prospects in the country.

Arizona’s Cameron Williams, a top-100 player nationally in his class due for a rankings bump, said last weekend in Omaha at adidas’ 3SSB circuit session that he’d like to officially visit West Lafayette. Purdue will line up several official visits for June, most likely, Williams included.

“They think I could go there, develop and go to the next level,” Williams said last weekend. “Kind of like Zach Edey and the bigger guys they’ve had.”

The 6-foot-10ish, 200-pounder from Phoenix will have a lot to sort through.

Arizona, USC, Arizona State, Stanford, Notre Dame and Illinois are among the many prioritizing him. But he’ll likely start taking official visits next month.

“I don’t care how far the school is,” he said, “as long as it’s for me and I’m going to go there, develop and get to next level. I don’t care if it’s all the way in New York, Connecticut, whatever. I’m going to go there.”

CAMERON WILLIAMS SCOUTING REPORT

Williams is tall, long and bouncy, with a quick burst off the floor as a shot-blocker and rebounder and immense room for physical growth. His smooth jumper and perimeter ability give him a glimpse of Ace Bailey sort of potential, and possible multi-positional ability at the next levels. He’s probably best suited to play power forward, but depending on system and his physical and skill development, perimeter 5 and gigantic wing might be on the table, too. It’ll depend where his body goes, most likely.
